Modafinil – The Surprising Answer to The Male Fertility Crisis

Recently on The Crypto Con, I exposed Polyethylene Glycol (PEG), a chemical prevalent in almost all modern detergents and cosmetics, as a possible key culprit of the current male fertility crisis.

As I see it, if high or regular exposure to Polyethylene Glycol in almost all other mammals causes a decrease in normal spermatogenesis, the same is likely true for humans. Thankfully, if your gonads are performing less than satisfactorily in the sperm production department, there may be a quick pharmaceutical fix that is as safe as a daily aspirin.

Modafinil – The Smart Drug That Makes Super Sperm

What if I told you that if you are a biological male, there is a way to almost instantly increase not just the volume of the load you ejaculate, but also the number of healthy sperm you release each time you ready, aim, and fire?

I know. It sounds like turn-of-the-last-century hype for some not-so-miraculous hair tonic. However, there is a drug that does all of the aforementioned, as well as a lot more. That drug’s name is Modafinil.

What is Modafinil?

Modafinil first hit the pharmaceutical scene in the 1970s. At the time, the French neurophysiologist Michel Jouvet was attempting to formulate new anti-inflammatory medications. However, Jouvet’s research took a turn after the accidental synthesis of the stimulant Adrafinil. This was due to Adrafinil showing promise as a non-addictive wakefulness enhancer, free of the “buzz” or high of stimulants like amphetamines.

Focusing his research on Adrafinil eventually led Jouvet to formulate Modafinil as a more powerful, market-ready wakefulness enhancer, specifically one that doctors could prescribe to treat conditions like narcolepsy.

Modafinil: The Cognitive Enhancer

As you might know from the About Page of The Crypto Con, I spent over ten years as a freelance writer for hire. During this time, most of my clients were based in North America, whereas I was based physically in Europe. This saw me burn the proverbial candle at both ends, with each evening seeing me work well into the early hours delivering on projects, before awaiting client requests for revisions or additional support.

It was during this time in 2017 that Modafinil came on my radar as a possible solution to me constantly feeling run down each day. As a nootropic, Modafinil also did exactly what I’d read about online.

Take one pill, and for the next four to eight hours, Modafinil will effectively eliminate any sense of tiredness. Better yet, Modafinil will never make you feel high, euphoric, or wired like caffeine or other stimulants like amphetamines. You essentially feel completely normal.

At the same time, the drug elevates creative and organizational thinking. This makes it perfect for people like writers, as I was at the time.

Modafinil & Spermatogenesis

As I’ve already attempted to highlight, Modafinil was never intended to help turbocharge male fertility. However, after just a few weeks of using Modafinil myself, I began to notice a significant increase in the volume of my ejaculate, as well as a dramatic increase in sensitivity and stamina during intercourse. The only question was whether or not an increase in ejaculate was the result of an increase in spermatogenesis itself.

As it happens, the answer is a simple yes.

Recent studies in rats have shown that Modafinil doesn’t just increase spermatogenesis. In addition to increasing sperm production, Modafinil also increases the motility of sperm. Sperm is, therefore, healthier, resulting in higher chances of sperm fertilizing female ova.

Moreover, as the spermatogenesis benefits of Modafinil have become more widely known, new patents have been filed for Modafinil and its enantiomers, which recognize Modafinil’s use as a drug that enhances the quality and quantity of spermatozoa in mammals.

As one recent rat study concludes:

Histological examinations proved that in the groups treated with Modafinil, stages of normal spermatogenesis in the seminiferous tubules were more distinct and regular than those in the controls.

All the tubule cavities were extremely full of countless maturing normal spermatozoa. No cell degeneration was found during the course of spermatogenesis, and the synchronous meiotic pictures were clearly seen without any morphological abnormality.

CONCLUSION: Modafinil and its enantiomers have a strong effect of enhancing spermatogenesis in male mammals to increase the normally matured and more active spermatozoa.

If that doesn’t sell Modafinil as a potential fix for the current male fertility crisis, I don’t know what will.

As a former user of Modafinil, I can also tell you that you actually feel something going on down there when you are taking Modafinil. I can’t really describe that feeling, other than by saying it’s like you just know your balls have gone into sperm production overdrive. If you like, you innately feel more virile.

Modafinil Side Effects

As I made an effort to highlight earlier, Modafinil is not a drug made or widely known to promote a significant ramping up of healthy sperm production. This is a mere side effect of Modafinil. For the sake of balance, it is, therefore, important that I make it clear that Modafinil has other, more widely known side effects too.

From my own experience, Modafinil eradicates inhibitions. If your wife asks you if her bum looks big, you won’t just tell her that she also has a severe cellulite problem. You will also go on to tell her exactly what you really think about her stretch marks, acne scarring, overuse of makeup—you name it.

Put simply, Modafinil takes away your ability to self-censor. You will be rude and alarmingly truthful to everyone, but you will not understand why people take offense when you are.

In extremely rare cases, Modafinil can also cause full-body skin blistering. The drug can also negate the effects of hormonal contraception methods (in females, such as the pill or coil) and may become habit-forming. (This is where users begin to feel reliant on Modafinil to function, despite Modafinil itself being in no way addictive.)

So yes, there is a price to pay for increasing your virility while giving a big middle finger to the current male fertility crisis. Make no mistake, though. When we are talking purely about enhancing male spermatogenesis, Modafinil is the safest, easiest pharmaceutical solution there is.
